| Platte Co Classes - Tuesday, January 24, 2012NEW! In 2012. . . Platte County classes move indoors!!!

Mickey's southern Platte County Classes are moving to a new location! Northland Agility will open its doors February 1st in Parkville, Missouri. Located only 5 minutes from Mickey's outdoor training classes next door to Union Chapel Elementary School, students will have a great new indoor training area to use for practice and for classes. Mickey's classes are scheduled to begin March 21 and 22.
Mickey's Class prices at this new location will be $125.00 for Agility Foundations and the Skills and Drills classes. All of these will be 90 minute classes. Discounts are offered for enrolling a second dog, and for family members who also come to classes. A complete schedule of prices is included in the Class Application Form.
Jenifer Loesing will be offering a new class: Agility Prep, and it will cover games, tricks and bonding between handler and dog for maximum speed and conditioning. Please keep checking the Calendar, as I hope to get the schedule up and online very soon. The price for the Agility Prep class taught by Jenifer Loesing will be $85.00, with discounts offered for family members working additional dogs.

There is a wonderful new rubber floor with plenty of traction for your dogs, no matter how hard they dig in. Professionally made equipment is featured, and a brand new dog walk is being made just for this building. When finished, the dog walk will have rubberized coating as does the table. The A-frame and teeter will follow, so traction will be optimized here.

| New Competition Handling Classes - Monday, November 28, 2011Announcing 2 New Classes!
Beginning Monday, January 30, 2012, I will hold classes at Joan Meyer's Triune Training facility in Lawrence, Kansas. There will be a class at 6:30 and one at 8:00 pm with both classes running for 90 minutes.
These will be Competition handling classes and are designed for dogs who are currently competing. A well-practiced Novice dog who is just ready for competition would be considered with instructor approval. Dogs should know the equipment, including the contacts and the weaves.
The benefit to the handler is that we will be working on more open coursework with larger yardages than has been possible at my Platte County location. The Triune facility is huge and all sorts of interesting and relevant skills may be rehearsed there. So if you've been suffering at trials from under-rehearsal of long runs coupled with the necessary skills, or if your dog jumps in a slightly different style when you get into regulation size rings, then these are the classes for you!

If weather or bad road conditions keep me from having class at the K-9s in Motion building in Lee's Summit, or at the Triune Agility building, I will post a message here no later than 4:30pm the day of class. When the weather is iffy, please check on this page for last minute announcements.
